Drama: The Master’s Sun

416823802685908374_24d4aa87_cThis is the first drama I’ve seen in months since I haven’t been in the mood. But my addiction to dramas suddenly came back a few days ago and I watched this. By the way, sorry for not being updating lately. I’m doing my exams and I haven’t had enough time and motivation. Not sure if I’ll update soon since I’m not done yet. Anyway, read this and watch it if you feel like you should 🙂

General Information:

  • Genre: romance, comedy, horror, supernatural
  • Country: South Korea
  • Year: 2013
  • Episodes: 17
  • Main casting: So Ji Sub, Gong Hyo Jin, Seo In Guk and Kim Yoo Ri
  • Watch online on: gooddrama.net

Synopsis:

Tae Gong Sil, who also goes by the name of Taeyang (“sun” in Korean), has the strange ability to see ghosts. Ghosts usually seek her either to ask for help or just for no apparent reason. She lives scared to death all the time, can’t even sleep well in fear of some spirit taking over her body and people think she is crazy when she starts talking to seemingly the nothing. In short, her life is a mess.

One day, while running away from a ghost, she gets forcefully into a car, where she meets CEO Joon Won Joong and finds out that touching him makes the ghosts disappear! From then on, she will do everything in her power to stay by his side, even dealing with Joon Won’s cold and materialistic antics. As the story develops, it turns out that Joon Won’s has some old unfinished matters with his late girlfriend, which will make him hire Tae Gong Sil as his “radar”, meaning she will have to deal with some ghosts in exchange of being her shelter.

The best:

  • The girl is not annoying, which is surprising. Although at the end she is a bit.
  • So Ji Sub and Seo In Guk in the same drama. Can I be more clear? I know. Stupid question.
  • There is a running plot during the whole drama, but there is also a small plot in every episode. I mean in every episode they deal with a new ghost as well as with the bigger plot.
  • I like the music for some reason 😀

The worst:

  • The ghosts were  just too fake. If you want to be scared, this is not for you. Fortunately for me, I’m fine with not being scared.
  • Well, as I said, the main girl is a bit annoying at the end and the end gets boring and slow.

Score:

8 out of 10. Watch it if you want something fun and simple.

I did actually get scared towards the beginning, but not so much as the drama progressed. I don’t like horror, so I’m glad it wasn’t any creepier. I lives this drama!

Oh, yes, you are right! 😀 I forgot to mention that. At first it was scarier, but the scariness toned down as it progressed. I’m watching now Who are You. Have you watched it?

I haven’t seen it yet but I really like Kim Jae-Wook so I might check it out soon. Do you like it so far?
