Manga: Please Save My Earth

31 Dec

jhjhjkhkhjHi! It’s been a long time, but now I’m on vacation. I’m doing great and still enjoying my life in Seoul. I hope I can review a few more things before I become silent again. Anyway, Please Save My Earth is a very well known manga, I think. The story and characters are quite good, although there are things I couldn’t stand. Keep reading 🙂

Manga: Himegimi to Sanbiki no Kemono

14 Aug

himegimi to sambiki no kemonoThis manga is shorter than the ones I like to read, but I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. I recommend you to read it if you want a not so complicated story that is still pretty intriguing and with likable characters.

Manga: Kitchen Princess

18 Jul

kjhjhjhjThis manga surprised me as I was expecting a silly story with a silly protagonist, but only the latter is kinda true. The story has its share of darker themes hiding behind the shoujo art and the seemingly lighthearted plot. Notice I’ve label this as drama and not comedy, although you may find your share of comedy too. By the way, once you clicked on “read more”, sorry for the format. I seem to not be able to fix it today. I hate it when these things happen…

Manga: S.L.H (Stray Love Hearts)

5 Jul

37227S.L.H is another manga by Shouto Aya, who is the author of Barajou no Kiss / Kiss of Rose Princess. Since S.L.H is older, let’s say it’s Barajou no Kiss the one who takes after S.L.H since the characters’ design and the story are remarkably similar in some way. It makes me think she got the idea of Barajou no Kiss while doing S.L.H. I must say Barajou no Kiss is way better. S.L.H is charming in someway, maybe because the art is pretty to look at, but I think the author didn’t convey the story that well.

Manga: Her Majesty’s Dog

28 Jun

51ZZ9J2XPFLI think Her Majesty’s Dog is one of those manga you start reading thinking it won’t be that good and then they surprise you in a good way. Even if it’s not the best story out there, it’s still very enjoyable and I quite like it. I do recommend it to you if you are into shojo, fantasy and demons and you don’t want a very complicated story.

Manga: Global Garden

26 Jun

global_garden_01Global Garden is not a typical story. To be honest, I started to read it because Einstein was there. Not that I’m an Einstein fan, but I was really curious about how Einstein would fit in a manga. In general, it’s an enjoyable and meaningful read, but the plot is odd. The author is the same as in the famous Please Save My Earth series, which I haven’t read yet. Do you happen to like Hiwatari Saki’s works?

Manga: Shinshi Doumei Cross / The Gentleman’s Alliance Cross

3 Jun

shinshi-doumei-cross-439481Unlike the mangas I’ve recently reviewed, there is no fantasy in this one for a chance. It doesn’t mean the story is realistic, though. It was a bit hard for me to read it at first because the female protagonist seemed like someone I would get annoyed with, but she surprised me! And so I devoured the whole series pretty quickly. It has its ups and downs, but it’s still enjoyable. Now what do you think? Have you read it?
